Description
I. Introduction to EPDM cold-shrink tube: EPDM (English name: Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer, hereinafter referred to as EPDM) is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and a non-conjugated diene. An EPDM cold-shrink tube is an insulating sleeve made of EPDM rubber and pre-expanded onto a removable support tube; in use, after positioning, simply withdraw the support tube, and it forms a tight covering through its radial contraction force, providing insulation, dust prevention, waterproofing, and sealing. It has excellent mechanical properties, puncture resistance, and high tear resistance, and is resistant to weathering, ultraviolet rays, ozone aging, acids/alkalis, and salt spray corrosion. II. Product characteristics: 1. Simple installation: manual operation only, no heating or special tools required, and no hot-melt adhesive or tape needed at joints to reinforce sealing. 2. Suitable for connecting and sealing cables of a wide range of specifications; can be used on power and communication cables in indoor, outdoor, overhead, underwater, or buried applications. 3. Strong resilience, high radial contraction force, and low permanent deformation; even after long-term use, it maintains lasting radial pressure on the cable, with a tight seal and excellent moisture-proof, waterproof, and dustproof performance. 4. Because EPDM has excellent resilience and "elastic memory," it can "breathe" with the seal, so it provides an excellent sealing effect and maintains very good sealing even in dynamic environments with wind-induced swaying. 5. Excellent resistance to salt spray corrosion, acids/alkalis, ozone aging, weather aging, and ultraviolet aging. 6. High mechanical strength and flexibility.
